Cub Scout

Pack 1103

General Info

We are an active group of girls and boys in kindergarten through fifth grades, or 5 to 10 years of age. Generally our members attend Stanley Elementary in Katy Texas, but that is not required.

We typically meet as a pack (all together) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month during the school year. We plan to have an activity once a month during the summer. Our dens (about 8 kids in the same grade) usually meet once a month also. Those dates are decided by their members.

Our goal is to meet in person when safe. We will be following the guidelines set by our Council and District leadership. We intend to have virtual options available as needed.

Purpose

There are four aims of Scouting: citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership.

The methods of Cub Scouting are: living the ideals, belonging to a den, advancement, family involvement, activities, serving the community, and the uniform.

HISTORY OF PACK 1103

This tribute honors Stan Stanley, a man whose genuine passion was service to the community in general and to the Boy Scout Program in particular. Mr. Stanley and his wife Patsy mentored hundreds of Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts over the years, and were instrumental in the formation of Cub Scout Pack 1103 and Boy Scout Troop 1103 in the Katy area of the Texas Skies District. Both Scouting organizations continue to honor his dedication by adopting his birth date of November 3 as their unit’s number.
